Aquatic Alternatives® tackles each consulting project using a proven process that includes the steps below:

1. Site assessment and planning
   
   • We will spend time studying the stream, creek, pond or river and how they interact with the surrounding environment.
   • We begin a feasibility study to track existing fish populations, nutrient levels and analyze man-made structures that may influence the overall health of the stream or river.
   • Once we determine what should happen within the system to achieve the desired outcome we make specific plans and review them with you.
   
   
2. A prefessional proposal is submitted with multiple scenarios
   • We review this proposal with you and agree on the appropriate scenario.
3. Next we establish and review the proposal with the appropriate government agencies and permitting is submitted if needed.
   • This process includes the management of the project with agencies
4. Cooperation with outside water engineers
5. We establish a timeline and begin the work
