Aquatic Alternatives® tackles each consulting project using a
proven process that includes the steps below:
1) We will spend time studying the stream, creek, pond or
river and how they interact with the surrounding
environment.
2) We begin a feasibility study to track existing fish
populations, nutrient levels and analyze man-made
structures that may influence the overall health of the
stream or river.
3) Once we determine what should happen within the system to achieve the desired outcome we
make specific plans and review them with you.
Proposal & Permitting
1) A professional proposal is submitted with multiple scenarios
We review this proposal with you and agree on the
appropriate scenario.
2) Next we establish and review the proposal with the
appropriate government agencies and permitting is
submitted if needed. This process includes the management
of the project with agencies
3) Cooperation with outside water engineers
4) We establish a timeline and begin the work
Aquatic Alternatives® has over one hundred years worth of experience (two generations)
with Salmonids. We understand why the present fisheries management
paradigm exists and what can be done about it to take the next step.
We have been taking that step for over fifteen years by doing
stream improvement projects, lake and pond building, and
developing research hatcheries geared to producing viable
alternatives to traditional stocking programs. Call us for an
