Aquatic Alternatives has extensive experience with the development of salmonid
habitats and the life stages of developing trout. Much of their experience has
been generated at their research hatchery and work in the field ranging from
projects in Peru, Chili, Yellowstone National Park, Olympic National Park and
throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
"Aquatic Alternatives has researched the development of exceptionally productive
spawning habitats.
These spawning habitats have been reproduced in wild
situations to maximize yields of wild trout."
a list of our works includes:
- Directing free nutrients into food chains to sustain maximized
populations of trout;
- Minimizing the dependence on chemical and mechanical management tools;
- Creating trout habitats that are passively driven and natural looking.
- Replicating nature to create healthy habitats for trout that
become artful
interpretations of nature and are naturally beautiful.
Aquatic Alternatives executes Wetland Delineations for various permitting
requirements both for our own projects and others.
"All aspects of trout habitats are addressed, from spawning and
recruitment of young of the year, to adult fish, along with the necessary forage
development to accommodate the various age classes of trout present in the
streams, rivers, ponds or lakes."
